I was inspired by Doctor who steampunk stories from the novel "the clockwise men" and David tennant episodes "the girl in the fireplace" which featured clockwork robots and "the next doctor" which had a huge cyber king steamdriven robot in Victorian London.
So i have taken elements of the Doctor who episodes and created a clockwork version of the Doctors dog from the year 5000; K-9. He has been embellished with brass studs, his ears are brass gramophone trumpets, his tail is a clock key and there is an antique clock mechanism on his back which works when it is wound. There are clock cogs and pieces all over his body.
This item was created at the Alex Shepard gallery and really has been a joy to work on. The original remote control unit has been removed but He would make an excellent talking point for any collection.
He is 15" from nose to tail and 12" at his highest point. He is also quite heavy at 1.5kg
available in my ETSY store GALLERY44
(please be aware that this item has been created in line with the steampunk genre and any resemblence with any other steampunk K9 items is purely coincidental. BBC worldwide own the copyright to K9 and Doctor Who. I will dispute any accusations of infridgement)
